Shiva is not only an aspect of the Thrayam Godhead- the destruction- regeneration aspect- he is the highest God, the Cosmic Logos.

The Shiva LINGAM is the “natural” Hindu symbol, which is the mathematical form of an ellipsoid. It is natural because it not only represents a reality but also is the actual vehicle of Power within that reality. It symbolizes Shiva-Shakti, that is, the primary polarity principle of positive and negative forces. On the principles of opposites the whole universe is found.

Ganesha represents the energy of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (Uma). Because of a mythological incident, the normal head of Ganesha has to be replaced with that of an elephant. The elephant-headed Ganesha looks like OM, the pranava mantra, representing the quintessence of the Vedas (Hindu scriptures), indicating power and wisdom.

The Mother Goddess is common to many primitive religions. The conception of motherhood of God or the Supreme Being, manifested in female forms is perhaps the finest expression in Hindu religious thought. This Goddess Supreme is Paramesvari (Great Goddess) from whom all beings derive divine power and enjoy divine bliss.

Mother Durga symbolizes a fruitful earthly life fulfilling itself in spiritual emancipation. She is ten-handed, engaged in administration of the eight quarters the heavens up and the netherworlds down. She is armed with various weapons, which suggests that She is Omnipotent and that She is able to remove ignorance born of tamas (darkness). Shakti reveals that She is the kinetic aspect of the ever-static Shiva.

Subrahmanya is the second son of Lord Shiva. His manifestation occurred when the devas, the celestial people, were being oppressed by an Asura (demon) by the name Taraka. He is the conjoint manifestation of Shiva and Sakti.

Lord Venkateshwara, popularly known, as Balaji is the presiding deity of the Tirumala Hills, in Andra Pradesh, India. He is one of the manifestations of Lord Vishnu. He revealed Himself and settles at that place in deference to the prayers of Sage Narayana, who did rigorous penance. The sage requested Lord Vishnu to settle there showering his eternal grace on the human folk, who were very much depressed and who were unable to follow the rigorous yoga practices to realize God.
